I am writing to you concerning software issues I am having with your programme. I am based here in the UK and I could not seem to find a UK based contact, which has resulted in me having to contact you on the MT5 Pakistan email handle. I have been using MT5 for over a year now and as of a few days ago, the software stopped working and constantly freezes up when I press the meta editor button and I am no longer able to use it. I have tried everything from deleting the software and re-downloading it, I’ve done a factory reset and I even tried switching users to check it wasn’t an issue with my iCloud account (I am using a MacBook). Unfortunately, when speaking to apple, they have now told me that the issue has not got anything to do with my laptop, however, I have been told to get in contact with the app administrators (being yourselves). I am not sure what to with this issue and I hope that you can provide.

I wish MT5 could recommend one maybe or somehow help with finding one that suits your capabilities.2. If you set a bunch of buys/sells the system seems to freeze up sometimes. I don’t know if that’s normal on the demo side but I could see how it would be a HUGE problem if you had a lot of money down and couldn’t get out or buy in on a trade.3. I’m not sure if they provide all the markets I’ve tried to find some like some futures and stuff like that but no luck. Even some that are provided on the app are just there to look at I guess but it cant be traded. popularity of MT4 and MT5, which together account for 83.8% of the total online

Intelligence Report for Q2 of 2022. Meanwhile, the setback of MetaQuotes directly benefited its other competitors. Several other trading platform providers have expanded their marketing, and some even confirmed an increase in their business following the temporary ban of two MetaTrader apps.
MT4 seems to be the most commonly used with multiple prop firms, which is why I use and recommend it. One thing I would like to see is an easier way to adjust a the stop loss and take profit. For instance, being able to do it when you’re on the chart screen instead of having to go back into the trade screen, press and hold the desired trade, click modify trade and then enter it manually. The process isn’t bad if you have one or two trades open but when you have multiple (5-10 or more) trades open with different SL’s and TP’s, it gets tedious. This is especially true for those of us that scalp on the smaller time frames.

MetaTrader is not available natively for Linux systems including Ubuntu 24.04, however, the developer of this trading platform offers a script to have a smooth installation process on Linux. This script will install the WINE which offers a compatibility layer for the Windows application on Linux. After that, it will also run the MetaTrader setup wizard to graphically complete its installation just like we do on Windows platforms.
